Nebraska National Guard buildings in Lincoln, NE

The buildings at the Nebraska National Guard facility in Lincoln, NE.

Roofing Inspection Summary

During the evaluation of this roof, we noticed the roof needed spray foam on all the ridge caps and buildings that met each other at different stage heights. We decided that we would have to spend several days on the metal restoration process. The restoration process includes Power cleaning the roof, applying primer where needed, and a base coat system on seams, bolt heads, and protrusions.

Commercial Roofing Job Description

We applied a commercial roofing product with an elastomeric, acrylic, and a monolithic roof coating, in a bright white finish, to completely waterproof the substrate on this building with a Metal Roof in fair condition. A continuous and seamless monolithic membrane enveloped the commercial building's roof.

In addition to roof coatings, we applied a BASF spray polyurethane foam (SPF) system designed for roofing applications.

Additional information about this roofing job:

We did the project in late August when it was scorching hot. We had to employ other sub-contractors to come in and assist us on this project. We had to get some other people in there to work as much work was to be done.

We decided that we would have to spend several days on the metal restoration process. The restoration process includes power cleaning the roof, applying primer where needed, and a base coat system on seams, bolt heads, and protrusions. We did a spray foam system on all the ridge caps and at the different heights of the other building roofs that came together. We applied a final topcoat of roof coating sprayed over the entire top of all buildings.

This roofing job consists of two substantial buildings located near the airport on the outskirts of Lincoln, Nebraska. You can see these two buildings from Interstate 80 traveling through Lincoln. Today, these buildings look spectacular with a solid white roof ten years later and are in excellent condition.

We recommend a Commercial Roofing inspection annually for Spray Foam Roofing systems. The cost for regular maintenance is far less than the cost of a full commercial roof replacement.
